Randy's Biography
Randy Meyer lives in Sheboygan Falls in Sheboygan County, where he was born and raised. In April of 2010, Randy was elected to his 4th term as Mayor of Sheboygan Falls after serving 5 years as Alderman on the Sheboygan Falls City Council.
His campaign slogan was "it doesn’t take sight to run a community, it takes a vision".
Randy graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School and has a business degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Wrestling was a big part of both his high school and college years. As a senior in high school, Randy placed 5th at the state tournament on his way to a 31 and 2 record and pinned 23 of his opponents that year. At Whitewater, Randy earned All American and Academic All American honors by placing in the top 8 wrestlers in the nation. In 2006, Randy was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Medal of Courage winner.
Randy is a member of the Sheboygan Falls Jaycees, where he has held several board positions including serving 4 terms as President. The Wisconsin Jaycees recognized Randy by giving him the prestigious Outstanding Young Wisconsinite award. He is also active in Kiwanis and Chamber Main Street.
In 2005, Randy was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Americans by the United States Jaycees, joining the list of honorees such as Bart Star, Elvis Presley, and John F. Kennedy, just to name a few.
In 2002 Randy formed RM College Resources, after working in the financial planning industry for 10 years. He provides college planning services for his clients. Randy holds the distinguished designations Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS). Randy is a graduate of the Leadership in Life Institute.
At the age of 3, Randy lost his eyesight due to cancer of the retina. From a young age, Randy’s blindness taught him to come up with unique solutions to unique problems. He does not view his blindness as a handicap and does not let it slow him down in life.
Randy attributes his success to his family and setting goals. He is married to Tammy and they have a daughter, Natasha and son-in-law Terrence.
